When I have a chance, I love to use my photography skills there at work. We just recently finished one of our largest events of the year called the Cabaret of Fools which serves as our annual fundraising gala. It was held on April 3, 2010 and it was INCREDIBLE! We had the highest turnout we have ever had in previous years. We are still crunching the numbers but it also looks like we have raised the most money as well to support our Educational and Artistic Programming.

So sadly all I have to show you are the few photos I took while we were setting up the Silent Auction tables in the lobby. Next year I am making a promise that I will be taking photos during the event!
I must still tell you about the event itself though. Pretty much all day Saturday was spent putting this event together with the incredible design team of Every Blooming Thing led by Robert Upwall and Pam March. It was just spectacular. The evening had a silent and live auction meant to raise the money but there was more to the event then just a glorified auction. We had a cocktail hour with food provided by several local restaurants such as Smart Cookie (which had the most delicious cookies i have ever tasted in my life!), Dolcetti Gelato, P.F. Changs, Tin Angel Cafe, Donovan's Steakhouse, and Aritsos. We had performances by our professional dancers and even by our own staff and board (myself included), tarot card readings, and plenty of dancing. Plus, you always want a reason to get decked out in feather boas, right? So many things to take photos of and it just didn't happen!
