I had my first taste of shooting dance again since I got my new job at the Red Cross and left Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company. Kingsbury Hall brought Momix to Salt Lake City the end of January. In conjunction with their public performances, they also had a free performance set at the Salt Lake City library. It is a fun venue to shoot in because it is so contemporary and it allows people to watch the performance from the balcony's, from the elevators, from the stairs, and all around. For performing in such a small space, Momix did an incredible job! Here are a few of the shots I was able to get.

This past semester I took a digital imaging class which was wonderful! It focused on PhotoShop and developing artwork throughout the semester. I wanted to share some of my pieces. These first two images were for my final project. They were designed for my African themed guest bedroom. This image was for a self-portrait assignment. I explored my different signs in Western and Eastern Astrology where I am a Gemini (air) and an Ox (fire). This next image is a blending of ideas from Buddhism and Christianity. This final image I wanted to share was a re-design of a movie poster for "Ghost World."
Happy Holidays from the McLachlan family. These are a few images from their "Christmas Card" shoot where they wanted to introduce everyone to little Remington who arrived in July. (And we of course had to include Boz the dog)
Again, here are photos I have been meaning to post forever! As a birthday present I took my husband to a Real Salt Lake game. We had great seats and I managed to catch a few photos.
I have had these photos FOREVER and keep forgetting to post them! I have finally remembered. It is a bit late but here are some Fall photos I took up Millcreek Canyon with Lenni Stratton. As you can tell, I love the close-ups!
I must say that this little 1-Year-Old has got to be one of the happiest in the world! He did nothing but smile during this entire photoshoot at Wheeler Farm. Just give him a pumpkin and he is entertained!
My road trip to San Francisco included one other stop. Reno! That is what's nice about a road trip. You get a whole other kind of adventure just driving there. We stopped in Reno on our way there and on the way back. Won a little money. Lost a little money. But it was all fun!
I just realized that I never posted photos from my recent trip to San Francisco. My husband and I took advantage of the week we had before Fall Semester started and took a road trip to California. Ben had never been to San Francisco and I had only been once before when I was 15. It was absolutely incredible! We also did lots and lots of walking up those hills. Wow! What a workout for the thighs!

Here is a closer look at my adventures in photography as I go off on my next shoot or I experiment with new techniques I am learning. I hope you can learn from some of the things I am doing and perhaps you can share some opinions and insight on my photographic work. Categories
