We are very happy to have both made it out alive because we were not the only ones up there in the mountains. The entire time we heard howling from coyotes nearby and other sounds coming from the trees in the clearing where we parked. Neither one of us was smart enough to tell our husbands exactly where we were going for in case we were eaten up there! We will know better next time! Enjoy the photos from my little experiment.
A little while ago during a full moon, a friend and I decided to try a little experiment. Neither one of us had tried photographing the moon before so we thought we would have a little fun. So Lenni Stratton, of Lenni Stratton Photography, and I went up to Traverse Ridge up above South Mountain in Draper, Utah. We had some fun shooting the moon as well as playing with some experimental shots of the city.

I think I have mentioned this before but I seriously do not take enough advantage of where I work! I work around an incredible group of beautiful dancers and I have very few dance photos in my portfolio. You would think that I would take more advantage of my environment but I get so swept up in the marketing and publicity I am doing for the company that I rarely bring my camera.
Well this year I finally remembered to bring my camera with me to the 2010 Utah Arts Festival and get some shots of the incredible dancers from Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company. It was a sad farewell performance to four of our dancers who are moving on to pursue new developments in their lives. I wish them all the best! I am happy I was able to get photos of Lehua, T.J., Andrea, and Prentice before they left! I had the opportunity to volunteer my photography for the Family Counseling Center of Utah for their annual Casino Night Fundraiser. They did a wonderful job putting on this fabulous event which included dinner, a silent auction, a Poker tournament, and several other gaming tables from Black Jack to Craps. Here are just a few shots from the evening which benefited the mission of the Family Counseling Center.

Here is a closer look at my adventures in photography as I go off on my next shoot or I experiment with new techniques I am learning. I hope you can learn from some of the things I am doing and perhaps you can share some opinions and insight on my photographic work. Categories
